Imagine Cup 2011 Opening Ceremony

Last July 8th at Marriott Hotel on New York City the greatest student tech competition begun. At the ceremony stage we had speakers like Mr. Steve Ballmer (Microsoft's CEO) Jon Perera (General Manager, Microsoft Academic Programs), Jeffrey Sachs (Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia United Nations) and Dennis Crowley (Foursquare CEO).

Steve Ballmer highlighted the importance of the students nowadays, and how does technologies (like Bing, Xbox, WP7, Azure...) are actually helping tu build solutions for the humanity toughest problems.
Competitors were very excited but also they are strongly commited to show during these days the importance of their projects,  and how are they seeking to solve the Millenium Development Goals. As Jeffrey Sachs told, we have a lot of work to do, we can and trough technology; we will make this world a better place to live.
